【内容简介】
　　《疯狂的石头》是一部前所未有的现代喜剧，故事由一块在厕所里发现的价值不菲的翡翠而起。重庆某濒临倒闭的工艺品厂在推翻旧厂房时发现了一块价值连城的翡翠，为经济效益特此搞了一个展览，希望卖出天价以改善几个月发不出工资的局面。不料国际大盗麦克与本地以道哥为首的小偷三人帮都盯上了翡翠，通过各自不同的“专业技能”一步步向翡翠逼近。他们在相互拆台的同时，又要共同面对工艺品厂保卫科长包世宏这一最大的障碍。在经过一系列明争暗斗的较量及真假翡翠的交换之后，两拨贼被彻底的黑色幽默了一把。
幕后故事：
由内地“70后”新锐导演宁浩执导的电影《疯狂的石头》具有强烈的幽默感，据观影者称，每隔5－10分钟，便可让观众大笑一次。
　　筹备一年多，拍摄40多天的小成本制作电影《疯狂的石头》，是刘德华所推出的“亚洲新星导”电影计划的赞助影片之一，也是宁浩第一次有作品进入院线发行。故事讲述了几群贼，为了偷盗名贵翡翠辗转发生的故事。
　　影片的选角名单里曾出现范冰冰和陶虹的名字，最后由郭涛、徐铮以及刘桦三位顶上，成为一部彻头彻尾的男人戏。说到刘德华曾提出在片中担上一角的话题，他笑言，“华仔之前在重庆拍片时跟我沟通过，说希望每一个片子能有一个露脸。但他后来拍《墨攻》摔伤了，把《墨攻》的拍摄搅乱了。现在影片已经拍完，我就说，既然拍完了你就不要再往里插了，而且愣加进来的角色意义也不大。我想，是不是要他唱个歌，但也不是一定需要，就看他想不想玩玩吧。”
　　虽然故事都说的关于贼的故事，但《疯狂的石头》在语言的运用和情节的设置上，超越了冯小刚的《天下无贼》，宁浩导演在镜头语言和表现手法上，比冯小刚更先锋些，更现代些，而且节奏非常快，道理也讲明白了，也把大家逗乐了。可以说，《贼中贼》为时下拍摄小成本制作的娱乐片，提供了理想范本。
